2022 edition of the Food & Climate Shaper Digital Boot Camp

20th May – 19th June  (Summer 2022)

Food & Climate Shaper Digital Boot Camp is a 1-month awarded, transnational and interactive online program organized by The Future Food Institute in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). It engages government and industry in actionable innovation, empowers communities, and prepares the next generation of leaders with the skills and mindset needed for a professional career building a sustainable future.

Future Food Network is an inclusive network and inspirational platform that is sparking exponential positive change in the global food system. The Future Food Institute is a center of excellence for food intelligence and an academic and training platform for change-makers, climate shapers and future leaders in the food and sustainability innovation ecosystem. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations that leads international efforts to defeat hunger. Its goal is to achieve food security for all and make sure that people have regular access to enough high-quality food to lead active, healthy lives. 

Developed to provide global change-makers, interested in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with an innovative, real-world, and completely digital experience to explore the science, technology, and heroes involved in transforming global food systems, this program was recognized in June 2021 by GoAbroad with the prestigious Most Innovative New Program Award. In December 2021, our Digital Bootcamp was shortlisted by Reimagine Education jury as one of the 10 best online program in the World, potential winners of the ‘Oscars’ of Education– reward innovative approaches that enhance student learning outcomes and employability.

FFI + FAO Digital Boot Camp in collaboration with the University of Nebraska - Lincoln is designed to prepare all participants for global career opportunities, whether in academia, private, or public sectors. Moreover, this innovative online program celebrates local food heroes while equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to drive sustainable food system actions in their communities. The digital platform enables the program to build a bridge between local, real-life experiences and the global community. 

Upon successful graduation participants will receive their Food & Climate Shaper Certificate presented by FAO + FFI.

In addition, we are excited to announce that academic credits will be provided by  the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.This is a great opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students who wish to include this learning experience in their curricula. If you are enrolled in the U.S. or affiliated university, please reach out directly to community@foodinnovationprogram.org for more information on the accreditation process. FFI will support you on how to apply to UNL as a visitor student to receive credits. 

Price for students: 1.100 $

Special scholarships and discounts to participate in FFI virtual and onsite international internships and in presence FFI Bootcamps (in Italy, September 2022 and Iceland, August 2022) are also available.
