Other activities without a Ministerial code – TAF F 
(Art. 10, Comma 5, Lettera D, DM 22 October 2004, No. 270)

Other training activities regulations approved on 16/04/2021 (in Italian)

These activities are not explicitly coded or entered into students’ study plans, but can be recognised by the Degree Course Board and registered in study plans for a minimum of 3 credits (in TAF F). They include: seminars, conferences, research seminars, workshops, both in Italy and abroad; activities organised by students together with teachers of the Department as tutors; further study, research, working in volunteering organisations; other activities not explicitly mentioned in the Regulations but approved as per art. 4.

Important notice: it is not permitted to include “Other Activities”/“Altre attività” among Free-Choice credits (TAF D).

Activities which fall into this category are listed here.

Students who can prove that they have completed one year of community volunteering (Servizio Civile Nazionale) since no more than 5 years can apply for recognition of credits. The Degree Course Board can fix the number of CFU that can be granted (between a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6) in TAF F, considering the relevance of such activities to the training objectives of the Course. To apply for recognition, students must fill in the form and submit it through the Help-Desk Service, together with a copy of the SCN certificate and a copy of an ID document.

Students with a valid ECDL FULL (European Computer Driving Licence) or a valid EIPASS 7 Moduli (European Informatic Passport) can apply for recognition of a maximum of 3 credits. No credit is recognized for ECDL START or for EIPASS Basic. ECDL FULL and EIPASS 7 Moduli can only be recognized once: it is not possible to apply for recognition of both certificates. Moreover, students enrolled in a Master’s Degree Course who got these certifications recognized within their Bachelor’s Degree or in previous studies cannot ask for their recognition again. To apply for credit recognition, students must fill in the form and submit it through the Help-Desk Service together with a copy of their ECDL Full Standard Certificate/EIPASS 7 Moduli and a copy of their ID document.

Internships and stages must be carried out in accordance with the procedure outlined in the Internships regulations in order to be recognized in a student’s study plan. The Job Placement Office will directly inform the Students Office (Segreteria Studenti) to register the credits, once the internship has been concluded and the final certificate obtained.

Students with Uni.Coo funding can apply for the recognition of credits at the end of their period abroad (for research purposes). Contact the Teaching Desk Polo CLE through the Help-Desk Service for further information on the registration procedures, or visit the Uni.Coo project webpage.

The University of Torino, in partnership with Biennale Democrazia, allows students to acquire 3 credits by taking part in Biennale Democrazia events. The Department of Culture, Politics and Society has defined some specific activities to be undertaken for these purposes. For further information, please refer to the dedicated page (in Italian). Participants can obtain 3 “Other activities” credits by filling in the form and sending it by submitting a ticket through Help-Desk Service, together with the final report approved by the Professor and a copy of their ID document.   

After taking part in the ChinaMed Business Program, AGIC students can apply for the recognition of 6 credits. To apply, students must fill in the form and submit it through the Help-Desk Service together with the Attendance Certificate of the ChinaMed Business Program and a copy of their ID document.

Students can apply for the recognition of 3 credits by presenting a valid certification. For further information, please contact the International CLE Office (international.cle@unito.it).

Students can apply for the recognition of 3 or 6 credits by filling in the form and sending it by email to corsistudio.cps.cle@unito.it, together with the Summer School Attendance Certificate and a copy of their ID document.

Engaging Conflict: worth 6 credits;

TOAfrica: worth 3 credits;

TOChina: worth 6 credits;

TOMidEast: worth 3 credits;

Wolverhampton: worth 3 credits.

Students can apply for the recognition of 3, 6, 9 credits, by selecting 30, 60, or 90 hours attendance, although this is necessary only when it is not possible to add the UGOV code in their study plan (piano carriera).

Students can apply for the recognition of a maximum of 12 credits in their study plan, based on what is established annually in the Call for student mobility - Region Latinoamericana programme (in Italian). Students can apply for the recognition of 3 credits by delivering a certificate issued by a volunteering association which demonstrates that they have carried out at least one year of volunteering work during their current University Course. Students must fill in the form and submit it through the Help-Desk Service, together with the volunteering certificate, a brief report about the activity they carried out and a copy of their ID document.

Three credits for international certificates attesting foreign language skills that are not included in the student’s study plan and that are equal to level B2 CEFR or higher can be recognised in TAF F. Students can apply for the recognition of credits by filling in this form and submit it through the Help-Desk Service together with the Language Certificate and a copy of their ID document.

After careful assessment of non-university training courses or similar, the Degree Course Board can recognise credits if carried-out activities are consistent with the student’s training project. For further information, please contact in advance the Teaching Desk Polo CLE through the Help-Desk Service.

Recognition of credits is possible if the collaboration can be proved by documents attesting a regular and continuous activity of publication on media of proven relevance in the public debate. This activity can be carried out with the production of texts, audio or video. The activity of a “giornalista pubblicista” or of a professional journalist can be recognized for a maximum of 3 credits, upon delivery of signed articles and/or services together with a statement by the Director/Editor-in-chief of the newspaper, when the student holds a Tesserino di pubblicista.

These activities include field research, archival research, etc. that have been agreed with the tutor and approved by the Degree Course Board. Students can carry out ethnographic research activities directly in the field or in archives and documentation centres, under the supervision of a teacher to whom a detailed report on the activity carried out must be submitted. For credit recognition, the tutor must draw up a training project before the student starts the research project.

The student should fill in the Research Activity Application Form and send it to the Teaching Desk Polo CLE through the Help-Desk Service. Once the student has finished her/his activities, s/he can apply to have credits recognized by filling in and sending this form to the Teaching Desk Polo CLE through the Help-Desk Service, together with the final report signed and approved by the teacher and a copy of her/his ID document.

Students who demonstrate they have worked full-time for at least one entire year (not necessarily uninterrupted) and that their job was relevant to their University training project can apply for the recognition of credits. The Degree Course Board can fix the number of CFU that can be granted (between a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6) in TAF F, considering the relevance of the activities carried out to the training objectives of the Course.

In order to get credits recognition, students working in private companies have to exhibit an official document wherein companies themselves specify the tasks carried out. If students worked freelance, they must provide suitable documentation specifying the activities performed (for example, documents certifying the company setting up and receipts of taxes and contributions).

To apply for credits recognition, students must fill in the form and submit it through the Help-Desk service together with the requested documents and a copy of their ID document.

Exams can be recognized in TAF F only in case of changes/transfers/second degrees. It is not possible to get the recognition of “Other activities” credits by taking university exams.
